Tridium's Niagara Communication Driver enables connection to a Siemens S7 PLC via the native S7 protocol over Ethernet. In this way, the S7 PLC can be extended with a user interface using Niagara graphics or integrated with the various BMS protocols that Niagara supports.
The S7 Driver enables the integration of Siemens S7 series controllers into the Niagara system. S7 series PLCs are very widespread devices and our driver works on dozens of installations across Europe.
The driver provides support for communication with Siemens S300, S400 and S1200 series PLCs via the native S7 Ethernet protocol. The driver reads data from the DB memory in the PLC. Supported data formats are Bit, Word, Short, Double Word, Double Int, Float, Date, String, and Printable String..
