Tridium's Niagara System Communication Driver enables connection to Esser Fire Alarm Control Panels via SEI (Serial Esser Interface) module and EDP protocol. In this way, the Esser fire alarm system can be extended with the Niagara graphic superstructure or integrated with the various BMS protocols supported by the Niagara system.
The Esser network and device structure is generated automatically by importing files from the Esser configuration tool (tools8000) without complex setup. All devices carry over their names, types, and units when imported, which greatly simplifies the integration process.
