PALLADIUM is a modern shopping centre with the widest range of shops, restaurants and services in the middle of historic Prague. The sensitive connection of historical elements with modern architecture creates a unique atmosphere that makes shopping a real experience.
PALLADIUM building (its retail part) holds the world's most widely used BREEAM certificate, which comprehensively evaluates the quality of the building in 10 categories: energy, health and indoor environment, innovation, land use, materials, management, pollution, transport, waste and water. BREEAM has a five-level rating scale and PALLADIUM achieved the second best in it – Excellent.
As part of the lighting reconstruction, a WEBserver has been installed as a tool for on-line monitoring of the new lighting system. All lighting in common areas, such as corridors, escalators, entrance halls, facades with illuminated advertising, is controlled by the Helvar system and monitored using a WEBserver. The operator has information on global operating states, modes and possible system faults on one overview screen.
At the same time, the operator has a detailed overview of the partial parts of the building and clearly see the connections across the individual floors, switchboards and circuits. Such visualization significantly streamline system service and maintenance. From a certain point of view, it can be said that the visualization replaces the documentation of the current state. The main benefits of visualization include its availability and remote indication of each element of the system in real time.
An equally important benefit of visualization is the central supervision of the system – the operator can again proceed through the levels according to what he needs to do. The operator also has the option of selecting the operating mode for the entire building, controlling the entire floor or individual sections (groups) of luminaires with one virtual button. If it is necessary to "remove" a certain section from automatic operation and let it shine at full power or turn off (e.g. shutting down part of the shopping centre, maintanance or cleaning), the operator can set it very easily and intuitively in the visualization. The WEBserver provides even the ability to set each individual luminaire.
The lighting of the shopping centre is not static, but the intensity and the color of the individual luminaires change during the day. Some chandeliers and LED strips are Tunnable White and others are even RGBW. The Planner invokes different intensity ratios during the day and changes the chromaticity temperature. This effect creates the desired atmosphere according to the scenario defined by the shopping centre operator.
The cherry on the cake is the control of design chandeliers from the Czech manufacturer Preciossa. These chandeliers are equipped with an autonomous control system, which is integrated into a unified graphical supervisor – WEBserver – through communication bus. The operator has the option to choose from preset static or dynamic scenes, adjust the intensity or turn off the chandeliers completely.
